Youth Advisory Board
Like your troop has a Patrol Leader’s Council to provide youth leadership and insight, the Youth Advisory Board provides youth leadership and insight to the council. The board consists of currently-serving Senior Patrol Leaders and meets on a quarterly basis to discuss ideas for improvements, plans for youth-focused leadership development, and ways to engage older Scouts BSA youth.
Meeting times and locations are announced in the council newsletter and via emails to Scoutmasters. Every troop is asked to send one youth (preferably an SPL or ASPL) to these important council meetings.
