Camp Wishlist

Our camp annually spends over $15,000 on program materials, maintenance supplies, tools, equipment, and more to keep the property in shape and the programs fun. Thank you for considering helping us support providing high-quality outdoor experiences to the youth of our area through making a donation of items to our camp.

Gas Cards
  • Gas cards allow us to fill unleaded and diesel gas for our mowers, vehicles, and power equipment, and are appreciated in all sizes.

Pressure-treated 2×10 boards
  • Requested donation: 12 boards ($)
  • We need up to twelve pressure treated 2×10 boards (12-ft long) so that we can repair our latrine skylight systems.
2.5″ Stainless Steel Deck Screws
  • Requested donation: 1 boxes ($50)
  • We use lots of screws at camp repairing and building new structures, both temporary and permanent.
3″ Stainless Steel Deck Screws

3/8″ Polyester Rope, White
  • Requested donation: 1 roll of 100 feet ($65)
  • Our ranges use white polyester rope to clearly mark boundaries, but that rope must be replaced regularly to ensure it stays bright and noticeable.
3/4″ PVC Trim, White
  • Requested Donation: 3x 8-ft pieces ($60)
  • Many of our buildings need refurbished window areas, and new PVC trim allows us to brighten our camp buildings up!
Pressure Treated 2×6 Boards (8-ft)
  • Requested donation: 5 8-ft sections ($50)
  • We use these for a variety of things, from camp structures to program materials
#30 16′ Decking Boards
  • Requested donation: 4 boards ($50)
  • Our various camp lodges have decks that will need to have boards replaced in the next few years. Donating decking boards allows us to preemptively do these replacements
Marathon Bath Tissue (Jumbo Rolls)
  • Requested donation: 1 box of toilet paper ($60)
  • We always need more bath tissue at camp!
55-Gallon Drum Bags
  • Requested donation: 1 roll of trash bags ($50)
  • All our camp trash receptacles use 55-gallon drum bags, and we go through them at an astonishing pace!
Hand Soap Refills (Clear)
  • Requested donation: One 2-pack of soap refills ($10)
  • A Scout is Clean – our flush bathrooms have running sinks, and we need hand soap to refill the soap dispensers there.

Libman Outdoor Broom and Dustpan Sets
  • Requested donation: 1 broom set ($20)
  • We are upgrading our facilities to have heavy-duty outdoor brooms to eliminate constant breakage and replacements.

  • We are upgrading our facilities to have heavy-duty outdoor brooms to eliminate constant breakage and replacements.
Twist-In Tent Stakes
  • Requested donation: set of 4 stakes ($30)
  • Many programs at Gamehaven use large car ports and pop-up tents to provide additional covered space, and wind damage is a constant struggle with these shelters. Twist-in Tent Stakes allow us to secure all our shelters with more confidence.
Metal Drill Bit Set
  • Requested donation: 1 drill bit set ($40)
  • As we expand into more complex projects, we need to upgrade our tools for the job! We’re looking for a new set of metal-rated drill bits.
Screwdriver Bit Set
  • Requested donation: 1 driver bit set ($30)
  • Most of our screwdriver bit sets have become disorganized, stripped, and worn down. We’re looking for a new set of bits of our cordless drills and drivers.
Retractable Extension Cord
  • Requested donation: 1 retractable cord ($60)
  • We would like to install a few retractable extension cords in our Cub Scout Pavilion to allow our cook crew and serving teams better access to power where they usually serve, without cords to trip over.
Stackable 27-Gallon Storage Bins
  • Requested donation: 2 bins ($25)
  • We use these bins in our storage building to sort and keep materials safe, and we can always use more!

Gordon Skylight Replacement (set of 3)
  • Requested donation: Set of 3 skylights ($200)
  • Part of our latrine refurbishment project involves replacing our worn-out skylights with new ones. This allows us to have more light in the latrines, and to replace LEDs less frequently. We’re looking for a set of 3 to be donated to refurbish our first 3 latrines.

Grab Bar Set (2 grab bars, 36″ and 42″)
  • Requested donation: Set of 2 grab bars ($100)
  • Another part of our latrine refurbishment project is to replace and reinstall ADA-complaint grab bars in all of our latrines. For this project, we’re looking for donations of sets of grab bars – a set of 2 includes one 36-inch bar and one 42-inch bar.

Commercial Vacuum Cleaner
  • Requested donation: 1 commercial vacuum cleaner ($200)
  • We use our lodges a lot, and that heavy usage lead our vacuum cleaners to face early retirement. We need up to four new commercial or heavy-dute vacuum cleaners to replace our aging fleet.

Daisy 2840 BB Gun Rifles
  • Requested donation: 4 BB guns ($300)
  • One of our quickly-expanding program areas is our Range and Target Activities. As more and more groups use our firearms, we want to upgrade our current fleet to meet modern standards. The Daisy 2840 is ta premier and well-loved BB Gun (and is the successor to our current fleet of 840s), and the officially-recommended BB gun of Scouting America. Supporting this project means enabling the purchase of four more BB guns to use for regular programs.

Set of Outdoor Benches
  • Requested donation: Nine benches ($1,000)
  • Outside group rentals are a growing facet of the camp operations, and we want to improve the services those groups receive when they use our buildings. Our cabins and lodges currently have outdated and broken plastic patio furniture. Supporting this project means upgrading that furniture to metal benches that will last for a long while, and present a better image to those using our amenities. Benches would be placed at:

    • All 6 family cabins
    • Both lodge patios
    • The Admin Building patio

A note on capital items: While we appreciate and will look at all offered donations, new capital items need to last at least ten years under heavy usage. Therefore, we may have to decline donations of well-used equipment on a case-by-case basis. The safety of our staff and campers is of upmost importance to us here on the Gamehaven Scout Camp team!
Box Blade for Tractor
  • Requested donation: One box blade with necessary attachments ($1,500)
  • We are lucky to work with several generous tractor owners who allow us to borrow their box blades, but as we expand our maintenance and properties work, we find ourselves needing more frequest access to this equipment for road and campsite work.

Genesys Bows for Archery (Adult-Size)
  • Requested donation: Set of six bows, 5 right-handed and 1 left-handed ($1,250)
  • Gamehaven Scout Camp has been lucky to maintain a strong inventory of bows designed for elementary school campers, thanks to previous generous donations. But to expand our archery programs and offer these opportunities to more Scouts, we need to grow our collection to include bows for our older Scouts and adults.

New Camp Utility Vehicle
  • Requested donation: One utility vehicle for camp usage ($15,000)
  • Our John Deere Gator has been extremely well-loved and used over it’s lifetime, but it’s time for us to start looking for replacements. We’re looking at both John Deere Gators and Polaris Rangers for our next camp utility vehicle. The vehicle needs to seat two people and pull small trailers.

  • Requested donation: One tractor for camp usage ($30,000)
  • Like our Gator, Gamehaven Scout Camp has a well-loved tractor that will soon be facing retirement. We use the tractor for everything from snow removal, to road work, to moving picnic tables. It’s a valuable member of our maintenance crew! Supporting this project means supporting the purchase of a new or lightly-used tractor.
