Order of the Arrow Lumberjack Days provides an organized service opportunity for Arrowmen and volunteers to support the ongoing maintenance and improvement of Gamehaven Scout Camp. This event focuses on preserving camp infrastructure and natural resources to ensure the property remains safe, functional, and welcoming for future Scouting programs. It’s a council-wide service day held at Gamehaven Scout Camp, organized by the Blue Ox Lodge. Troops are encouraged to attend and help clean up camp for the coming year. It is an excellent opportunity to get service and conservation hours. Projects this year include cleaning up campsites, wood splitting, and building firewood holders for all of the main camp side campsites.
Participants will assist with a variety of service projects, including log splitting, trail maintenance and clearing, and brush removal. These efforts play a critical role in maintaining accessibility, enhancing safety, and supporting the overall stewardship of the camp’s outdoor environment.
